Documented Boats
According to MRSA Title 36, Section 1504 (8), the Excise Tax on Documented Vessels must be paid by July 1st of each year. Failure to pay this tax may result in liens being placed on any and all of your real properties and filed at the Hancock Registry of Deeds.
*New excise tax stickers are available by December 1st of each year.
Mooring Permits
Each mooring that sits in Gouldsboro waters is required to have a mooring permit. This was voted on and took effect at a special public hearing on July 27, 2023. The 2023 – 2024 applications were due November 15, 2023.
Each mooring permit is $51 and needs to be paid when submitting the application.

**Mooring fees are due by July 1st each year. Starting September 1st, a late fee of $25 will be charged to any unpaid mooring permits. This could result in loosing mooring privileges and your mooring pulled.**
