Diligence: Officers will conduct their duties persistently, carefully, and effectively in order to put forth their best effort when serving the community of Gouldsboro.

Integrity: Honesty and strong moral principals shall be the foundation of those selected to serve as a police officer for the Gouldsboro Police Department.

Professionalism: Officers shall conduct themselves with sound judgment and skill, along with respectful and polite nature during the performance of their duties.

The mission of the Gouldsboro Police Department is to serve the community of Gouldsboro and the people of the State of Maine with professional police services. The Gouldsboro Police Department will abide by the rights guaranteed to the public according to the United States Constitution. The department will enforce the laws of the State of Maine and the Town of Gouldsboro’s ordinances and strive to reduce crime, fear of crime and promote positive police and citizen relations.
